I’m Oscar and I am 9, I learnt to ski on a dry slope in the North of England -plastic hurts when you fall so you need to learn quick. I had a really cool instructor called Doug and he made me addicted to skiing.
I ski at Sheffield and also in Manchester and Castleford on real indoor slopes - they call us fridge kids because we ski inside all year round.
I like freestyle, moguls is what I do best. I got accepted to the Yorkshire freestyle team in Aug 2010 and I get great coaching through them. I’m improving my points in competitions and made the final with all age groups in the British indoor this year. I get to ski with some really good skiers here and I go to Salmon grom camps whenever I can.
I am half Canadian so maybe I was born to go skiing! At the moment I train about 3 times a week: trampolining, fitness, moguls and general skiing.
That’s all!
