Andrea Binning

Andrea Binning is from Australia and began skiing at a small resort just outside of Melbourne. Who would have guessed that years later she would become one of the top female freeskiers and take up residence in The Alps.

She started as an alpine race competitor and later moved into freestyle mogul skiing. In 1999 she did her first season in Chamonix where she was able to develop her skills for big mountain skiing, which was also aided by meeting her husband today fellow Volkl team mate Stian Hagen.With her sponsors Red Bull, Volkl and Roxy supporting her, she was able to take on the girls on the World Free skiing Tour. She went onto to win the World Extreme Skiing Championships in Valdez, Alaska and also ´The Red Bull Snow Thrill of chamonix´, which was the event that inspired her to pursue the free skiing competitions.

Today Andrea resides in Chamonix France together with her husband Stian Hagen and their son Aksel Hagen.  She sees herself as being very lucky to travel to so many amazing and remote places and be inspired by so many people that share the same passion as her.

Duke on the Kiku so I have the option to take them out touring.

Your biggest breakthrough in your skiing career. 
Winning the Red Bull Snow Thrill of Chamonix, this was the contest that first inspired me to become involved in Freeskiing and also the World Extremes in Alaska.

Favorite place to ride: Chamonix and Cordova Alaska

Best snow trip: My trip to Antarctica with Chris Davenport and Stian Hagen, it was by far the best trip I have ever done!

What age did you start to ski: 4

What cant you live without: My husband Stian and my son!
